A Veterinary Expert System for Remote Use

In this paper, the implementation of a veterinary expert system which allows for remote access through a mobile phone is examined. The background to the problem, including the circumstances the system would be used in, is discussed and the di erent tools available to assist in developing an expert system are examined. The process of acquiring the knowledge from experts and other locations for the expert system is then discussed and the various options with regards to the mobile interface of the end-user applications are examined.
